About the Foundation
Creating Opportunities for Children & Women
Established in 2013 in Cantonment, Varanasi, Fix My Life Foundation is a community-oriented organisation working towards creating meaningful opportunities for children and women and supporting them in building more secure and independent futures.
The Foundation believes that sustainable change cannot be achieved merely through the distribution of resources. It comes through education, skill development, discipline and opportunities for self-reliance.

Skills That Can Become Livelihoods
Women's skill development is an important vertical of Fix My Life Foundation, with a particular focus on providing women with practical skills that can help them create sustainable sources of livelihood.
Around 8–10 women visit the Foundation every day to learn and practise sewing. The training is not limited to classroom learning; women are gradually applying their skills in real-life situations.
Some women have started receiving sewing orders. This transition from learning a skill to using that skill for income generation represents an important step towards financial independence.

Education
Giving Children a Strong Beginning
Education forms one of the central areas of work at Fix My Life Foundation. The Foundation runs a school from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., where nearly 40 children are currently enrolled and attend classes regularly.
The school provides foundational education to children from the surrounding community and focuses on giving them the academic base and discipline required to continue their education in larger schools.
At present, the school has two staff members: Ms. Sapna, the Vice Principal, teaches the senior classes, while Ms. Simran teaches the younger children studying in LKG, UKG and Class 1.
Mr. Aslam is the manager who looks after the school and the Foundation in their absence.

Supporting Children
Our Need Bank
The Foundation also maintains a Need Bank, which serves as a resource centre for basic necessities required by the children.
Visitors and well-wishers regularly contribute stationery, clothes, food and other essential materials. These resources are carefully preserved and used purposefully.
When a child performs exceptionally well or accomplishes something noteworthy, they may receive an item from the Need Bank as a way of celebrating their effort and achievement.
